3 Easy Weeknight Dinners Using Glacial Treasure Frozen Chicken

One of the most common questions we get from families who discover Glacial Treasure is simple: what do I do with it? Here are three weeknight dinners that showcase the most popular products in the line — all of them on the table in under thirty minutes.

Souvlaki Bowls

Thaw the Chicken Souvlaki skewers in the fridge overnight or under cold water for twenty minutes. Grill or pan-sear over medium-high heat for eight to ten minutes, turning once. While the skewers cook, warm pita in a dry pan and prepare your bowl base — rice or a simple salad of tomato, cucumber, and red onion dressed with olive oil and lemon. Plate the skewers over the base and add a spoonful of D&D’s homemade Tzatziki if you picked some up at our Cash & Carry. The marinade on our souvlaki — a recipe the Dikeos family has been refining for thirty years — does the heavy lifting. This is a complete dinner.

Shawarma Wraps

Thaw the Chicken Shawarma and roast on a sheet pan at 400°F for twenty to twenty-two minutes until caramelized at the edges. While it cooks, warm large flour tortillas or pita. Slice the shawarma thin and load into the wrap with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, pickles, and a drizzle of garlic sauce or tahini. This is a dinner that disappears fast in a household with teenagers.

Lemon Pepper Chicken with Roasted Vegetables

Place the Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast on a foil-lined baking sheet alongside whatever vegetables you have — zucchini, peppers, cherry tomatoes, onion cut into wedges. Roast at 425°F for twenty-two to twenty-five minutes. The lemon pepper seasoning caramelizes beautifully on the vegetables as well as the chicken. Serve with flatbread and hummus, or over rice. Ten minutes of prep, twenty-five minutes in the oven, dinner is done.

All three of these work equally well as meal prep. Double the quantities, store in containers, and you have lunches and dinners for the next several days. Glacial Treasure launches at Fortinos this June. The full range is available year-round at our Cash & Carry at 300 Milliken Blvd, Toronto — open Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, Saturday 9am–3pm.
